I loved this, Katie, for so many reasons. It was a tonic to read, and to picture the scene with the puppy parade, and the carefree young bike riders whooshing past – like you, I remember those neighbourhood days in the 70s. And the cat! When we were recently in Italy, we took a similar doubletake watching an elderly lady with her large ginger cat, on a leash, walking across the piazza. When it stubbornly decided to sit down and not move, she simply picked him or her up, draped them over her shoulder, and carried on her way – cat looking grumpily resigned! What a wonderful thing your daughter is doing to help those in need. 🙏💗
Maggie is the sweetest!! Love this so much!
I love that Maggie is leading you into joy!
Hopefully she stays healthy for a good long while so we can continue seeking joy.
I am always up for more Maggie news (and pictures)
Thank you for your words, Katie.
You're welcome. I'm so grateful you took the time to read and comment.

Cats are such funny animals. I can see the lady now with the cat slung over her shoulder like a mink stole. XO
Totally! He wasn't entirely happy about it, but seemed resigned to be doing 'la passeggiata' with her! XO
