What a gift to have walked so many places with new and old friends. I think walking helps to slow us down and notice which in these times will be good for our souls, minds, and bodies.
Some of my favourite walks were in the Rockies with you my friend.
Really beautiful, Katie - thank you so much for sharing these glimpses, in words and pictures, of walks that have tended to your body and soul. It’s true, along with pilgrimages and walking in unfamiliar places, even the most known to us locations and routes can become new when we open our eyes to notice – and so much new research is being documented now about the mind and body benefits of walking. Would love to read more about your pilgrimages, and, I’ve got to admit, Maggie has slightly skewed my bias on the examples you’ve shared! 💙🤗🤗🤗
Maggie does like a good photo op! I'll have to get her in more shots and share them here. Also, the Cotswolds Way is close-ish to you. I'd love to walk it again!
100%!!! Oh would love that - I used to visit the Cotswolds all the time when Will and I lived in Oxford - our dentist was in a Cotswold village! Cuddles to Miss Maggie! XXXX
You’ve walked in some pretty amazing places, Katie, and I loved seeing them. Your thoughts about walking ring true. I’ve been taking some walks myself lately because that is how I try to find my equilibrium.
I love this! Great pics too! I love that even right in your backyard (Cleveland) you found beauty that compares to the other more distant places! lovely reminder, my friend, because walking the beach by my house is my favorite place to find beauty, especially in autumn!!

It has been a gift, the memories of those walks by the lakes are priceless. I'm so glad we did that. Now to start planning our next big adventure!
Also love that idea!

And you have such a beautiful place to walk just outside your door!
